Synopses:

Bread and Daddies – A wonder is coming and somewhere at the top of an impossibly tall mountain, an immortal man who might also be a purple
potato, sorts through endless piles of trash. Somewhere in the middle, a tired boy who used to love creamsicles and a nasal-spray addict fall in love over
their ambivalent opinions about pre-sliced bread and Spam. Somewhere deep in the ground, an annoyingly quirky corpse with a snapped neck
decides that instead of decaying, she will become a pickle instead. Thousands of years pass. And another thousand passes again. Somewhere
in the midst of all that time, a sandwich is made. Does the wonder ever come?

Happy Life – A woman leaving behind a lying life tries to move into her new apartment, but the two ghosts living underneath the floorboards will not
allow it. A real estate agent discusses the intricacies of the Human Sperm Lottery over a naughty phone chat line. A hot-shot porn editor searches for
her dead brother in tree branches and empty McChicken wrappers. happy life is a play about the domestic efficiency of stacking the living on top of the
dead; about jargon and vomit and the bureaucracy of second chances. What oozes out, when there’s no more room?

Bacon Sausage Veggie Noodles – Bacon Sausage Veggie Noodles…is it a code? Or is it a dish? Did you know that before John Lennon was a wall, he
was a man? Will the four little mages traversing an endless desert ever reach the Sweet Potato Hotel? ALSO, did you know that the Government is filming a
new live-action Mulan? Yes!! Another one!! See you at the audition! But whatever you do, don’t use magic.

Beautiful Princess Disorder – Triangle Person is a “human body” with a triangle “head”. The “head” part is made of something like cardboard. The”
human body” part wears a navy-blue no-nonsense swimsuit. Triangle Person lives in a patch of sky right next door to heaven. God has never come by with
a casserole, though. Triangle Person’s roommates are Mother Teresa and Tilikum the bull orca. There’s lots to do and luckily, all the time in the world. A
fuzzy-edged sibling drama for the only child

Sky Rats – Society wants to fake us out, but Tiff, her Nonna, and her f*up friends are gonna put a stop to all that. Part 90s hacker thriller, part slacker makeout dream, rife with hallucinogenic OTC meds, militant pigeons and rats, if you ever had a crush on the entire cast of The Matrix, this play is for you!

Kingdom – In a not-so-distant future, a mysterious illness has swept the globe. Afflicted children fall asleep and can’t wake back up. Lucy lives in an
architecturally impressive house with her food entrepreneur husband, her venture capitalist dad, and her sleeping son Chip. Lucy hires a nurse named
Ina to take care of Chip. But Ina is on a top-secret mission, and it involves sourdough. A classic family drama submerged in fungus.

Bio:

Kathy Ng writes plays and makes crafts. I was born in Hong Kong. My work aims to create sharply soft playing spaces for human-adjacent beings. I
like the idea of theater as a construction site for new, alien languages. Recent works include Sky Rats (Writing is Live 2024, Brown
University), bacon sausage veggie noodles (Clubbed Thumb Reading Series) and happy life (NPC Finalist ’21, The Hearth). I made my NYC debut in the
summer of 2022, where happy life received a world premiere production at Walker Space. The production was called “porous but sticky” and “seizing
with an almost maniacal delight” – New York Times. I am a New Georges Affiliated Artist and an alum of Clubbed Thumb’s Early-Career Writers’
Group. BA from Brown in Writing for Performance. I currently live in Providence, a home-like place, where I’m back at Brown and pursuing my
MFA in playwriting.
