Marianna Gailus was born and raised in New York City and received her M.F.A. from the Juilliard School Drama Division in 2022 as a proud member of Group 51. Marianna earned a B.A. in History from Yale University, where she studied the intersections between American public history, cultural collective memory, and methodologies of storytelling. As an actor, she has trained with the British American Drama Academy, the Chautauqua Theater Company’s Summer Conservatory, and the Einhorn School of Performing Arts at Primary Stages. When she’s not onstage, she volunteers at the American Museum of Natural History as a tour guide and exhibit interpreter. Juilliard credits include: Katya and As Cast for U/S r in Patriots, Halina in Indecent, Ren in The Extenders (film), Masha in Three Sisters, Parolles in All’s Well That Ends Well, The Moon in References to Salvador Dalí Make Me Hot, and Portia in Julius Caesar. Skills: Singing (Mezzo-Soprano/Alto, 10+ years training), Ballet/Jazz/Theater Dance, Rowing (New England champion), avid hiker and amateur herbalist.
