HALLIE FOOTE has most recently been seen in two plays produced by Primary Stages: Harrison, Texas and Him. In 2009 – 2010 she appeared in Horton Foote’s three act, nine hour masterwork, The Orphan’s Home Cycle in a co-production with Hartford Stage and Signature Theatre. Other theater productions include: Camp David at The Old Globe Theatre and Dividing the Estate produced by Lincoln Center at the Booth Theater in New York City. The Trip To Bountiful at Signature Theatre, The Carpetbagger’s Children at Lincoln Center, The Last of the Thorntons, Talking Pictures , Nigtht Seasons and Laura Dennis at Signature Theatre, The Death of Papa, and The Trip to Bountiful at Hartford Stage, When They Speak Of Rita and The Day Emily Married at Primary Stages, God’s Pictures at Indiana Repertory, The Widow Claire at Circle in the Square Downtown and The Roads To Home at The Lambs Theatre, Rosalyn Carter in Camp David at the Kreeger Theatre. Her films include: Paranormal 3, 1918, On Valentine’s Day and Courtship and “Walking To The Waterline. On television Hallie starred in the Turner/Amblin Production of The Habitation Of Dragons and guest starred for Showtime in Alone.
She was nominated for a Tony in 2009 for Best Supporting Actress in Dividing the Estate, and was given the Richard Seff Award. She received the Jefferson Award for her performance of The Trip To Bountiful at The Goodman Theater in Chicago in 2008 and was the recipient of the Lucille Lortel Award in 2006 for her performance in The Trip To Bountiful. She received 2002 and 2001 Drama Leagues Awards for her performances in The Last Of The Thorntons and The Carpetbagger’s Children. In 1995 she received the New York Drama Desk Award for best actress for her roles in three Horton Foote plays at the Signature Theatre, Talking Pictures, Night Seasons, and Laura Dennis, and in 1993 an Obie Award for best actress for her performance in The Roads to Home at the Lambs Theatre.
Hallie produced the film Lily Dale for Showtime which starred Mary Stuart Masterson, Stockard Channing, Sam Shepard, Tim Guinee and Jean Stapleton and hopes to continue producing. She studied acting at the Loft Studio with Peggy Feury and William Traylor.
