Seen as Patsy in TACT’s critically acclaimed revival of Three Men on a Horse at the Beckett Theatre. On Broadway he has appeared in Dance Wi’ Me directed by Joel Zwick, Equus directed by John Dexter, Bent, with both Richard Gere and Michael York, directed by Bob Ackerman and Piaf; A Remembrance. Off Broadway he has been seen in Endpapers directed by Pam Berlin at the Variety Arts Theatre, as Lucio in Measure for Measure, opposite Nathan Lane and Mary Elizabeth Mastroantonio, directed by Joe Papp at the Delacorte Theatre (Shakespeare in the Park), Desire Under the Elms at the Roundabout and I’m Getting My Act Together and Taking It on the Road at Circle in the Square. As a founding member of The Actors Company Theatre, Mr Salata has appeared in over 50 TACT productions including Arthur Miller’s Incident at Vichy, Edward Bond’s The Sea, both at the Beckett Theatre and Twelfth Night at the Hudson Guild Theatre.
Regional theatre credits include Joe DiPietro’s The Art of Murder, directed by John Rando, at the American Stage Co., Bedroom Farce and He Who Gets Slapped at the Hartman Theatre, Crucifer of Blood at Stage West and Hoagy, Bix and Beethoven Bunkhaus at Indiana Rep. TV audiences may recognize Mr Salata from his three seasons on Kate and Allie as Susan St.James’ on again off again beau,Ted Bartelo, as well as multiple episodes of Dear John with Judd Hirsch and appearances on The Jury, Law and Order, NYPD Blue, Mother’s Day, Hearts of Steel, Legwork and Spencer for Hire. Film credits include Pink Panther, Little Kings, Devil’s Own, Weekend at Bernie’s and the classic Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.
