Arlene began her acting career as a lead in the hit Hispanic comedy series Los Teens, for Telemundo/NBC. Upon moving to Los Angeles, she earned a role in the ABC pilot Harry Green and Eugene alongside Jason Segel and Mark Valley, where her comedic flair grabbed the attention of casting directors, and studio executives, which garnered her a holding deal at ABC. Arlene then starred opposite Cary Elwes in NBC’s Hasketts Chance. She next played “Bebe Arcel,” a series lead in the STARZ original Crash, with the late Dennis Hopper, which led to a role in the hit film Eat, Pray, Love with Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem. From there Arlene played “Dr Vera Juarez” in Torchwood, the STARZ collaboration with the BBC, which gained her much attention with international audiences. This attention spawned a guest star on Top Gear and a victory in Top Gear’s “Stars in Small Cars” segment. Arlene has also Guest starred on numerous tv series including Jinji Kohan’s Netflix series Teenage Bounty Hunters, as well as Grey’s Anatomy, The Rookie Feds , and Lie to Me. Arlene can currently be seen on Netflix in her new film That’s Amor.
She is currently producing films Dry Rain and We All Want The Same Thing.
